@skaile/forge-editor is built on TipTap v3 and assembled from features: a simple editor without a backend, an advanced editor with media, mentions, Typed blocks, AI, collaboration and comments, and a Nuxt module with server ports.

Features and presets

An editor is a list of features: formatting, media, mentions, tables, Typed blocks, themes and block UI. Compose your own or take the simple or advanced preset.

Vue and React surfaces

The same framework-free core renders through Nuxt UI on Vue and through shadcn/ui on React, with toolbar, outline, settings and the file browser as components you place yourself.

Nuxt module and server ports

Register one EditorPorts object for identity and storage; the package owns the routes, the collaboration server, rate limiting and the wire formats.

AI assistance

A sidebar chat, an AI selection menu with review, agent edit operations and optional integrations for Typed blocks and transcripts.

Collaboration and comments

Yjs and Hocuspocus for live editing, author colors and comment threads that survive concurrent edits.
